About Guitarfish Music

Guitarfish Music Lessons Studiostore near Portland, Oregon

Guitarfish Music is a new style music education and instrument retailer like none before.  With the introduction of the Studiostore concept, Guitarfish brings the wonder of learning to play guitar, bass, drums, piano, or to sing to a broad audience.  Each Guitarfish Studiostore features state-of-the-art lesson studios, qualified instructors, and a family friendly retail environment that makes it easy to not only learn to play, but to learn how to choose instruments and accessories that are right for the individual.  Gone are the hundreds of brands of guitars, drums, and keyboards; by focusing on a smaller selection of high quality instruments geared toward the beginner and intermediate player, the Guitarfish Studiostore staff is able to guide anyone of any age in their choosing the gear that’s right for them.

Lessons

The Guitarfish Studiostore may look like a music retailer but our true goal is education.  Private lessons are available for guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocals.  Each and every Guitarfish instructor is a qualified and experienced teacher and musician that is part of our staff, not a month-to-month space renter that teaches at home.  Guitarfish Music is an education company first and foremost and as such, the teachers are staff and family to just like all the employees.  Private lessons are available in 30 and 60 minute time blocks depending on age.  Each studio is private and sound-conditioned and features the latest technology.  The lessons follow a proven methodology designed by the education experts at Guitarfish Music.  Each Studiostore location may have different teachers, but a student is guaranteed the same incredible learning experience at any location with any teacher thanks to this methodology.   Studiostores are currently conveniently located for Tigard, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, and Hillsboro.

Classes

Beside private instruction, our Studiostore locations offer group classes at convenient times for most people.  A typical class may offer advice on maintaining an instrument or setting up sound for a performance.  At Guitarfish we’re about education on all fronts, not just learning how to play.  The more knowledge our students have, the less uncertainty they will have in any aspect of music performance.

Gear

Guitarfish Studiostores are retailers of another caliber.  Our staff is well versed in all aspects of the brands we carry and trained to provide a comfortable shopping environment for students and families.  Gone is the attitude-laden music store employee, our staff are personable and friendly and willing to answer even the most basic question about any of our gear or our lessons.  The goal of the Guitarfish Studiostore is to provide a comfortable place to learn about music, even if that is how to tune a guitar or choose a microphone.  Our gear selection includes iconic brands such as Fender, Ibanez, Roland, Mapex, and more.
